How do I order an Instrument?
Please contact kontakt@nebula-instruments.com. 10 % of the instruments value is paid upfront. The rest can be paid when the instrument is finished, just before pickup/shipping.
How long is the waiting time for an instrument?
The current waiting time for an instrument is around 8 months. It might take fewer or more time. I generally try to avoid deadlines as they do not help with building good instruments.
Do you ship and how much does shipping cost?
Yes, I ship the instruments. Here is an overview of the approximated costs for packaging/shipping:

Local pickup of the instrument by the customer or delivering the instrument to the customer is much preferred.
How transportable are the instruments?
The dimensions of the Vero are 0,5 x 0,7 x 0,6 m (height x width x length). The weight is around 23 kg. So it is transportable by car and can be carried by hand for a short distance. But it is not really compact and lightweight.
The Euphones dimensions are 1,4 x 0,6 x 1,5 m. It weighs around 65 kg. For transportation the Resonator, Cones and stringholder can be removed with one screw each. Afterwards the baseplate can be unmounted (two screws) and carried away. The remaining stand can be folded. The whole process takes around 10 minutes. Carrying the base plate should be done by 2 people. To transport the instrument a larger car is needed, for example a Caddy, big station wagon or small bus.
Transport-cases are not included.
How much do the instruments cost?
The Resonator (including a drum stand and a transducer) costs 1050 €.
The price for the Nebula Vero is 2950 € + taxes and shipping.
The Nebula Elva costs 3800 € + taxes and shipping.
The Nebula Euphone (including one Metal Resonator, two Tonewood diffusers [spruce or maple] and a string holder with resonant strings) is 12.400 € + taxes/shipping. An additional Metal Resonator (the Euphone can be equipped with two Metal Resonators) costs 900 €. If you wish to connect external audio devices to the Metal Resonator you can add a (passive) transducer for 110 €.

The instruments are hand built in Magdeburg, Germany (2 hours from Berlin).
Is it possible to play the instruments before ordering?
Yes, please. You can make an appointment and play the instruments in the workshop in Magdeburg, Germany.
Can I rent an instrument?

Are you bookable for concerts, theatre plays, sound meditation or other events?

What is the history of these instruments?
The ancient origins of glass instruments date back to 2500 BCE - 14th Century in Persia and China. 1761 Benjamin Franklin invented the Glass Harmonica, inspired by musical glasses played with water. This principle was further developed by the Baschet Brothers in the 1950s.
